The original Yankee Stadium was a stadium situated in the borough of the Bronx in New York City. The stadium was the home ballpark of the New York Yankees, one of the New York City's Major League Baseball franchises, from 1923 to 2008, except for 1974-75 when Yankee Stadium was remodeled. The Yankee Stadium venue hosted 6,581 Yankees regular season home games during its eighty five year long existence. Yankee Stadium also was the site of the NFL aka the New York Giants National Football League team from 1956 up until September 1973. Yankee Stadium's moniker, "The House That Ruth Built", comes from the legacy of Babe Ruth, the baseball celebrity whose best performances concurred with the stadium's inauguration and the start of the Yankees' successful history. I have been a visual artist since the 1960s. I'm originally from Orange County, New York, located in the Metro New York City region where I was raised on the working dairy farm [Ogden Farm] which my family founded in 1832. As a young man I spent many long hours working in gardens, crop fields, pastures and in barns with livestock. I grew up surrounded by antiques. I graduated from Bucknell University where I majored in art which included a semester in Florence studying Italian Renaissance art. After Bucknell I studied at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. I have lived throughout the U.S. [including three years in Sante Fe, New Mexico], in the Caribbean and in Mexico and Central America. I now reside in the 19th century...
