This is a reproduction of a circa 1920 oil painting of Jesus on the Mount of Olives by German illustrator of children's religious books Josef August Untersberger who,1874–1944, was also known as "Giovanni". The Mount of Olives is in the Judean Mountains by the Kidron Valley and overlooks the "Old City" of East Jerusalem. Since ancient times Mount of Olives was a Jewish necropolis.
