Description
This is a reproduction of a circa 1900 Omaha, Nebraska studio photograph of "Two Little Braves" by prominent American western Americana photographer Frank Rinehart [1861-1928]. These boys were members of the Sac and Fox tribe whose language was similar to Algonkian. The Sac and Fox were relocated to Oklahoma from Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
The Sac and Fox Nation is the largest of three federally recognized tribes of Sauk and Meskwaki Indian peoples. Originally from the Lake Huron and Lake Michigan area, they were forcibly relocated to Oklahoma in the 1870s and are predominantly Sauk. The "Sac and Fox OTSA" is the land area in Oklahoma governed by the tribe.
The Fine Art America logo does not appear on the final product.
