Description
This is a restored copy of Norwegian painter Edvard Munch's [1863-1944] oil on canvas "At the Roulette Table in Monte Carlo", 1892, which depicts gamblers at the casino wagering at the roulette wheel table.
Edvard Munch was a Norwegian painter. His best known work, The Scream, has become an iconic image of the art world. His childhood was overshadowed by illness, bereavement and the dread of inheriting a mental condition that ran in the family.
Roulette is a casino game named after the French word meaning little wheel which was likely developed from the Italian game Biribi. In the game, a player may choose to place a bet on a single number, various groupings of numbers, the color red or black, whether the number is odd or even, or if the numbers are high or low.
The Fine Art America logo does not appear on the final product.
