This is a restored copy of Incident of the War President Lincoln on the Battlefield of Antietam October 1862, an original albumen photograph by prominent American Civil War historic Scotch-American photographer Alexander Gardner, 1821-1882.
This photograph was published in Gardner's Sketch Book of the Civil War, 1865.
The American Civil War resulted in the brutal and horrific deaths of hundreds of thousands of Union troops of Anglo and northern European ancestry who fought and died to successfully end black African slavery in the US which had been promoted for over one thousand years by the Arab black African and white slave trade industry.
