This is a restored copy of Sausalito from the Northern Pacific Coastal Railroad [ which later became the North Shore Railroad] Wharf Looking South, circa 1868; albumen silver print from glass negative by early British pioneer and experimental photographer Edweard Muybridge 1830-1904, The San Francisco northern bay area scenic upscale town of Sausalito is located just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco in Marin County, one of the wealthiest counties in the United States. The current Sausalito landscape has changed dramatically from this mid 19th century view.
