Description
This is a reproduction of Sunlight on the Harlem River, 1919, oil on canvas by Ernest Lawson, listed American painter, 1873-1939.
Ernest Lawson was a Canadian-American painter and exhibited his work at the Canadian Art Club and was a member of the American group The Eight, artists who formed a loose association in 1908 to protest the narrowness of taste and restrictive exhibition policies of the conservative, powerful National Academy of Design.
The Harlem River is an 8-mile tidal strait in New York, United States, flowing between the Hudson River and the East River and separating the island of Manhattan from the Bronx on the New York mainland. The northern stretch, also called the Spuyten Duyvil Creek, has been significantly altered for navigation purposes.
The Fine Art America logo does not appear on the final product.
