This is a copy of the imperial arms of the First Mexican Empire created circa 1822 which features the famed legendary eagle with a snake in its mouth perched on a cactus which was the supposed mystical magical heavenly sign which inspired the ancient pre-Columbian indigenous Native American Aztec culture to build the capital of the Aztec Empire at Tenochtitlan.
