Description
This is a restored copy of a USA Bonds American Third Liberty Loan Campaign poster for the Boy Scouts of America bearing the patriotic American military propaganda slogan Weapons for Liberty. This poster was designed by famed gay / LGBTQ twentieth century American advertising artist Joseph Christian Leyendecker, 1874-1951.
This classic historic Americana World War 2 patriotic military poster depicts Lady Liberty, aka The Statue of Liberty draped in the red, white and blue stars and stripes of the American flag as she holds a huge golden armorial shield in her left hand decorated with the American eagle arms of the United States of America. With her right hand Lady Liberty reaches for a huge steel sword bearing the classic Boy Scouts of America motto Be Prepared which is offered to her by a young, semi-kneeling uniformed Boy Scout.
The Fine Art America logo does not appear on the final product.
